What a hidden gem!! Eating at 1900 Park Fare is a treat. You get both the characters and the lovely ambiance of the wonderful Grand Floridian. You feel like a princess walking in (And you are one. Don't you forget it!). Breakfast- A great place to eat breakfast with the family. You get a great set of character meet and greets including: Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tigger, and Mary Poppins. You can't go wrong eating breakfast with Tigger and Pooh!!! The breakfast food is also very yummy and has a wide variety. I definitely recommend trying the strawberry soup (it's almost like a strawberry smoothie but better in my opinion) ((I also believe 1900 Park Fare is the only place at Disney to get Strawberry Soup, so don't pass it up!) All around 4 stars for breakfast. Dinner- This is where it gets a little tricky. Your character line up? FANTASTIC. This is why 1900 Park Fare gets booked for dinner because you get to meet Cinderella, Prince Charming, Anastasia, Drizella, and of course the lovely(frightening) step mother. The Ugly(beautiful) Step Sisters are reason alone to come for dinner. The interactions with them as well as seeing the interactions they have with others in the establishment is 5 stars alone. They're an absolute treat to see. The other characters are nice, not quite as great as the step sisters though simply because of their personalities. As for food? This is where I'd say the food for dinner is a 3 1/2 star. Nothing too special or incredibly delicious. It does the job but I don't find myself particularly running back in line to get a second helping of certain foods. For the amount of money you're paying, the food is not worth it. Not at all. (Not for a poor college student such as myself at least) There are plenty of other cheaper and delicious places to dine in at other Disney hotels/ parks. (Trust me. I've tried most of them) However what you are paying for is the experience. It's definitely a great place to have dinner with family if you can afford to because the character interaction is amazing. You come here for the characters not the food, just keep that in mind.

Pro's: Winnie the Pooh and friends for breakfast and Cinderella and friends for dinner. I was not aware the characters were going to be there so that was a nice surprise. They come right up to the table and talk with you so easy 1:1 time without having to wait in line and also nice photo taken before you go into the restaurant that is available for purchase. The Grand Floridian is also GORGEOUS so must see place while at Disney. Con's: The food isn't great so if you do not care about meeting characters, do not go here. The food itself is definitely not worth the price. Also if you hate children (not judging but like if you hate kids unsure why you're at Disney anyways) then do not go here!! There are tons of super adorable little girls especially dressed up in princess costumes waiting to meet Cinderella.

Pooh, Tigger, & Mad Hatter with an awesome breakfast? Can't believe some of the blah reviews. Everything was fresh, made to order, clean, very good and to see your kids light up every 10 minutes? To top it off, my daughter has mild celiac and chef came out to show her what didn't have gluten, and also made her gluten-free Mickey waffles and donuts. They do a great job here. Thanks..we'll be back.

I love characters, and will wait in a long line to take a picture with them! Whoever invented the character meal, deserves an award. My family and I stayed at the Villas at the Grand Floridian and I made reservations for this Character breakfast for my BF and I on one of our free days. I think we were the only adults without kids there, but who cares! The food was actually good - Mickey waffles, smoked salmon (two of my favorites), potato hash, build your own omelet, and of course - the strawberry soup! When it comes to buffets, I don't eat my money's worth, but I feel I do get my money's worth because I get to meet the characters! The characters that were at the breakfast were: Tigger, Pooh, Mary Poppins, Alice, and the Mad Hatter. Each character did such a great job interacting with everyone and I like how they have fun with it.

When you come to a Disney restaurant you have to remember you're paying for the EXPERIENCE not the food. The food was just like any decent buffet place. They had steak and pork (both of which were dry), Mac and Cheese, and mashed potatoes. They claimed to have sushi which got me excited, but it was just a poor tasting California roll that was obviously not fresh (everyone was passing by the sushi so it must have been sitting out for awhile). But besides the food, everything else was great! I loved the classy atmosphere when you walk into the Grand Californian and into the restaurant. I was so happy that I was able to meet Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the ugly step sisters. They made the whole experience so much more enjoyable and kept everyone entertained. They made it a goal to speak to every single table in the restaurant and give little princesses and princes special attention.

This place is located at the luxurious grand Floridian resort. This hotel is gorgeous and the best of all Disney hotels. The 1900 fare isn't so nice compared to the hotel. This eatery is way overpriced for the limited amount of food it offers. The characters are nice if one is into the story Cinderella. Adults cost $42 and kids $22 for dinner. Reservation is a must since the place is small. Most little girls will love this place.

My husband and I had breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and Tiger too. Mary Poppins, Alice and the mad hatter were also there but the Mad Hatter never made it to our side of wonderland. The characters were great stopping at every table. I was afraid they would walk by us since being that it was just us adults but they stopped and chatted and we got lots of Tiger hugs. The food wasn't good. We actually only booked the experience because we wanted a big breakfast buffet our last day at Disney. I was extremely disappointed and most of what I ate I took off the "children's buffet". Way to make me feel bad for wanting a waffle Disney. Not worth the money.

This is tailored to kids, yet my husband indulged me and came to 1900 Park Fare on our honeymoon - 2 adults, no kids. While the Cinderella character dinner is tailored to families with kids, the buffet offerings for adults was varied and pretty good. They had everything from sushi to prime rib, pasta, potato and green salads, pastas, chicken marsala, salmon and more. I left stuffed and happy. I didn't get to try the desserts because I was so full, but there were many. Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia make their rounds without rushing. And, Cinderella and Prince Charming take a dance break to dance with each other, and then with the little princes and princesses dining there. This is a must-do if you have little kids. Now that I've been to 1900 Park Fare several times as a teen and now adult, I'll probably wait to go back until I have little ones who can enjoy the experience. If you go adults-only, there is a full drink menu available.

Ok. The food is well prepared and very tasty. The characters were well received. This is a fun place to dine. A definite come back to. Enjoy yourself here. Have pictures taken with Cinderella and her step sisters. Don't forget Prince Charming. The evil step mother was my favorite. Carlos our server was very attentive too.

Had the Cinderella Dinner. 20+ min wait w/ reservation (make sure to be the first to check in w/ that time'd reservation.) The sisters were the best. All was good in 6yr old little girl land. If I could do it again having tried everything I felt worth trying, This is what I would eat: 1st plate: Large tomato and mozzarella salad topped w/ peal&eat shrimp, topped w/ verde sauce (like pesto) from the carving station. 2nd plate: fresh carved steak topped w/ horseraddish sauce, fried ravioli toped w/ marinara, green beans, macaroni & cheese. Desert: 2 tarts w/ fresh fruit on top.

I've been to almost all of the character meals at Disney so I know what to expect but the food was terrible for the price of the buffet. The place was extremely loud. Definitely terrible acoustics. Kids were yelling and the noise was uncomfortable during dinner. For a deluxe resort the food was sub par. Service was good but the tables were very close. Many times you bump into other guests or even the servers.

By far one of the best restaurants on property!! Food is absolutely amazing. Huge variety at buffet. Staff were beyond friendly. Had one of the best servers I've ever had on property. The overall experience is incredible. My personal favorite character dining. Highly, highly recommended!!!

Dinner with Cinderella, my other Princesses: Adi, Rachel, Eva and Prince Michael. Similar to our experience at the Crystal Palace here at Disney's Magic Kingdom, 1900 Park Fare, offers a buffet style dinner and a family of Disney theme characters that come to each table for hugs, kisses, autographs and photo ops. The food selections here were more varied than the Crystal Palace. A five dollar burger can be delicious and worthy of five stars if you pay five dollars. But five dollar burger quality food for $35 would leave you complaining, wouldn't it. But we didn't come here for haute cuisine. We came for the Disney characters and to watch our little granddaughter react to them; it was worth every penny. At 1900 Park Fare it was Cinderella, her Prince Charming and, of course, the conniving and evil Stepmother and the two stepsisters. A funny twist here was that the stepsisters and stepmother are true to their movie characters: boisterous, chatty, condescending and self serving. It was amusing for the adults present. But if there is one thing Disney does best, it's their characters. So if you are in Disney and have a four year old granddaughter in tow, make reservations for a dinner at 1900 Park Fare and watch her light up when Prince Charming drops to one knee and opens his arms to her for a hug. Cost of dinner? About $35 per person. That little girl smile and giggles? PRICELESS! Two stars for the food plus two stars for the cast of characters.

We actually had a really good time at our character breakfast here. First, I will say that the hotel itself is amazing...we did not stay there, but it was fun to walk around before our reservation time. Ambiance - the characters were great. Every character advertised came past our table and our young son had a blast. Some (Winnie and Tigger) even came past twice and played with my son twice. The decor is nothing special, but the kids don't care. I will say that it is loud though...my baby daughter was not a fan. Luckily, we were in a side room that was a bit quieter. Food - For my son and husband, who are gluten free, this was great. A chef came out and took them around to show them what they could have off the buffet and brought them a fresh heaping plate of GF Mickey waffles to our table. I thought the food was pretty good too...I mean, it is a buffet people, not a five star restaurant. My coffee was always filled...which was a plus for me.

Another Disney doozey. Character breakfast. This time in the Grand Floridian and its old fashioned glory. To me, the dining hall was outdated and your typical breakfast buffet fare reminiscent of Bob's Big Boy, but not as good. Our waitress was nice, but the food was nothing to write home about for the price. Do your homework fellow parents! We obviously didn't and this character breakfast featured all old school characters that your kids probably never heard of like Mary Poppins. My daughter basically told the Mad Hatter to leave her alone as he was bothering while she tried to eat her breakfast in peace. She liked Alice in Wonderland herself and only knew who she was because my husband reads her the old story book, but my kids had little interest in any other character. Ok fine, Winnie the Pooh was cute and so was Tigger but once again, not worth the exorbitant expense.

The food was pretty good, but I was going here for the character experience. I really really wanted to meet Mary Poppins on this trip and this was the best spot to do so.... well i didn't get to. We waited OVER AN HOUR for all the characters and finally had to leave to make our fast pass times before meeting Mary Poppins. There were two tables that actually got up and followed the characters around to get their pictures (two very large tables) which slowed down the process EVEN MORE. The "character manager" (I'm not sure what this position is actually called- but the person who tells the characters where to go and things like that) showed NO interest in making sure everyone got to see the characters except for these two very large, very loud tables that followed them around interrupting other table's turns. I complained to her and my waitress and the waitress was apologetic but couldn't do much. The character manager just said "she'll be around soon." Well 20 minutes later I had to leave without meeting Mary Poppins which is why i made a reservation here to begin with. I was VERY disappointed. I also dined at two other character breakfasts during my trip and the character assistants and experience was 100 times better. In both instances they offered to take pictures for us and even came back and made sure that we had seen everyone. We were in and out in very good time. I'm a regular Disneyphile and I'll likely not come here again. I'll just try to catch Mary Poppins in the park next time.

Located in the breathtaking Grand Floridian is this character dining spot. It's your standard buffet spread, with the exception of the most delicious strawberry soup (go for breakfast) I know, it sounds bizarre but it's fantastic. Try it. Thank me later. This isn't my favorite character dining, but it's a good experience and the resort is on the monorail. There are far better options, so save this one for your waffles and bacon day. Can't go wrong. I recommend heading here for breakfast early, the taking the monorail over to MK. If nothing else, come here to see the GF it's really an exquisite resort.

Characters are great, they are actually not too invasive at 1900 Park as they were not at Ohana. The food choices are little nicer than you will usually see at breakfast including poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce and a brilliant omelet station. The food was all fresh and well prepared. They even had a kids station that was lower down, which made me have to bend to get to the kiddie food. We saw Winnie the Pooh and Alice in Wonderland Characters here. We had a 8am reservation and were one of the few people there at opening, but it gets crowded as time progresses through its never ending course. tripadvisor.com/ShowUser…

Great food choices for Character dining! Not just your typical fried food and deserts. Great selection of Seafood, Vegetables, salads, and entrees. Anastasia was awesome and had our table roaring in laughter. Also, the wicked stepmother was great in character and extremely funny. Would highly recommend for dinner with the kids.

Food very blah, cheap breakfast food and their claim to fame , eggs Benedict w lobster sauce is an egg over a biscuit w lobster flavored sauce- not good. You are paying for the characters but this has to be worst character breakfast around. Won't be back.

Really good breakfast buffet! I made a reservation here after being highly recommended and was not let down. Keep in mind that you will definitely need a reservation here because I had one and had to wait about 10 minutes anyways. I really wanted to try the strawberry soup and the Eggs Benedict with Lobster Hollandaise (it's a flavored sauce, there's no actual lobster in it), and neither of which were my favorite. I think the bananas foster, cheese blintz and the omelet station were my favorite. There is so much to choose from but I definitely went for seconds on the blintz with banana foster. There are also some really good cream cheeses. My only advice is don't bother with the staples, try the unique things because the things like grits and oatmeal were wattered down and hey, you can get that at home. Go for the gold, I mean the cheese blintz. Hehe :) Do note that all beverages are included in the buffet, you just have to order them with the server, you can get basically anything. Oh, and like I said for my Crystal Palace review, you can't take pictures with two characters at the same time, which sucks. The Mad Hatter told me that Disney won't let them. Sad face!

We were there for breakfast today. I would say it was good, but nothing to be excited about. The buffet was typical breakfast buffet food. A few winners: scrambled eggs, Mickey waffles and bread pudding. A few losers eggs Benedict, cheese grits, hash browns, brownies and pastries. Unfortunately the staff seemed exhausted as the service was far below disney standards and certainty the service we are used to at the Grand Floridian.

We ate here for breakfast on a Friday. An appointment was necessary and one I made two weeks in advance. A credit card was required to make the reservation but i was not charged. We arrived an hour early and looked around in the beautiful hotel. They were able to seat us half an hour early. On the way in there is a photographer that took a picture of our group in front of a beautiful background. We had a waitress that took our drink order and then we were immediately able to start eating. Food is buffet and they have a ton of options. The food was all delicious and there was no wait with the exception of a small wait at the omlet station. The characters all came by to the tables to say hello and take pictures. In typical Disney fashion they were all wonderful. Considerate of small and sometimes frightened children and so friendly. Were really to take as many pictures as you want. Great experience.

I had taken my daughter to dinner here on a recent visit to Disney. It was her first trip to Disney so I wanted to have a special character dinner with just her (and leave the boys behind). I am so glad that we were able to make this happen. The buffet was good, I felt there was a good selection of food as well as a nice variety. The characters made this dinner fabulous. I feel they went above and beyond with their interactions with my daughter and made her feel very special - she is still talking about her meeting Anastasia and still gets excited reliving the experience.

Breakfast Review: I made a reservation for our departing day at 1900 as it was one of the cheaper character breakfasts not in a park. I was also excited to see the Grand Floridian as I, a mere mortal, would never be able to afford to stay there. The hotel ended up being not really my scene, a little too stuffy and prim/proper. Like I expected bowls of ribbon candy to be placed on each table, the scent of mothballs wafting in the air. But I digress. Check-in was chaotic. Families lined the hallway with a photographer taking pictures in front of a castle backdrop. The dining room was obscured by frosted glass doors as if to say, "You won't see these characters until we're good and ready for you." I missed my initial pager buzz because I think I wandered too close to the princess tea party. Lesson: stay close. So finally we were let in. It was kind of mesmerizing walking into the dining room. Everyone is abuzz and you see characters flitting about. After your corneas adjust, you realize that it kind of looks like the private room at an Old Country Buffet, no judgement, just saying it's really not all that special looking. The food was pretty standard, the lobster egg benedict and strawberry soup being unique standouts but the rest is the usual suspects -- mickey waffles, bacon, sausage. The line for the omlette station bled into the line for other food so it was kind of difficult navigating through people. Obviously this ruined my vacation. The characters we saw were Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger. I had heard that Mary Poppins appears but she didn't while we ate. For those who seem offended that "so and so didn't appear" -- I think the official stance is X characters often appear but are not guaranteed. As a table of 3 adults we initially had to call over the characters to come see us, though it became apparent they have a pattern to the tables they visit. Initially I felt kind of miffed because I already felt insecure being a 30 year old asking for Pooh, but once the characters came over it was fine. Alice and Mad Hatter were both really great -- Pooh and Tigger were strong and silent, I suppose. The characters ended up making it around a second time, but I got really awkward thinking "these are a bunch of college kids dressing up" so we didn't really interact much. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and for what it was, there wasn't that much chaos in the dining room (no kids running around screaming and crying, bringing about an early apocalypse etc.) obviously individual results will vary.

This restaurant is located in the Grand Floridian at Disney World. It is casual and buffet style. During dinner, we got to see snow white, the wicked step-mother, the fairy Godmother and the wicked stepsisters. My 4-year-old granddaughter loved it. The princess made their rounds and took time to talk with children and take photos. The ambiance was nice and the service was good. The food was good as well. A word to the wise, make sure you make reservations well in advance.

Ok so you know when you go to disney everything is pricey but there is a reason for that. You cannot put a price on your daughters facial expression meeting cinderella, Prince Charming, the step sisters, and lady tremaine! The food was average and nothing to brag about ! The experience is what you pay for !!!!

We did the character dinner here. That night it was Cinderella and Prince Charming with Cinderella's stepmother and step sisters. All of the characters were very delightful as they took photos at every table. The stepmother sort of freaks people out but it's part of the deal. As per the food, it was just ok. I get really disappointed in Disney when they push the grilled cheese/mac'n'cheese/french fries everywhere. We're paying better money for this, give us better food. Our kids eat real food, not processed garbage. However, as we watched, people seemingly can't wait to feed their kids this stuff. To each their own I guess. The buffet did have some notable dishes that I felt were better than average to downright delicious. First, the sushi. I normally would pass on buffet sushi but this was clearly made with better ingredients and rolled by someone with skill. Very good. Also, the try the ribs. They were not BBQ but they were super tender and covered with an Indian curry sauce which was dynamite. Think well flavored and less spicy/hot. Peel and eat shrimp kept coming out and it was always the right texture and served ice cold. I loathe overcooked shrimp. Disney gets it right though. There was also a vegan bean salad that was quite good. I tried it on a whim as other people waited to get pizza. The prime rib was hit and miss. All I saw was well done and I'm a rare kind of guy. My kids have allergies and Disney was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE when it came to this. A chef came out to talk to my kids and asked them--not us what they would like for dessert. This was so empowering for them and they each felt 10 foot tall as it was the first time they were able to order dessert in a restaurant. The chef made them a Mickey sundaes with cookie ears and nut free toppings on the side. They were in 7th heaven. The whole evening is like a cattle stampede but I have to hand it to Disney and the employees, they handle it all with grace, poise and professionalism.

The atmosphere was elegant but fun. The staff was super friendly and happy. They seating was good to We had Disney character dinner so that made it more fun. Now the food was mostly good, And the dessert was delicious. I recommended the salmon and and roast beef. My only complaint is that I have had buffet just as good if not a notch better that was priced at 20-30 dollars so I'm gonna have to say that there over price by 10$. for that reason I gotta take the star down a notch to 4.

We were there for the character breakfast. I was plenty nervous because I had read lots of mixed reviews, but I have to say I was REALLY impressed. We were ushered in for the obligatory family photo. The photographer took his time posing us and making sure the kids were looking at him. Our server was fantastic overall and took time at the beginning to explain the route that the characters would take so we wouldn't miss any while we were at the buffet. The food was pretty typical breakfast buffet fare, but there were some really delicious items like the strawberry soup and crepes with available toppings. There were also made-to-order omelettes with a good selection of ingredients. Each character visited our table twice, and a few made it 3 times. The kids were thrilled, and we enjoyed ourselves as well. It was well worth the cost, and it's all about the memories anyway.

Let me start by saying this review is for dinner only. I had my 25th birthday dinner as I couldn't get reservations to Cinderella's Royal Table or Be Our Guest and let me say that I was not let down. We arrived about 10 minutes before our scheduled reservation time and we were given a buzzer and instructed to take a photo in front of the castle. As we were taking our picture, our buzzer went off! Yay! We sat down, our waiter came over, took our drink orders and gave us the run down on how everything works. We got a plate of food and as soon as we sat back down Prince Charming came over and was super Charming. I know it's his job to make everyone feel special but boy did I feel like a princess (it helps that I was sort of dressed like one too). The wicked step sisters were actually my favorite (dare I say it?!). Anastasia walked over and screamed "OMG YOU"RE SO POOFY" and to this day (my birthday was in November) my best friend still screams that when she sees me. I had on a tutu. Drizella told me I owed her a birthday gift because she wished me a happy birthday. I told her it doesn't work like that in New York and she giggled. Lady Tremaine was sub par. Her conversation didn't flow like the others. And Cinderella - she was beautiful and sweet. I said I wish more people would have made the trip down for my birthday and she said that while she understood, I had a ton of friends and family there. A highlight from my meal was when a little boy Anastasia was talking to dropped his cup, she says "hey kid, leave that there, we have someone to clean it up... CINDERELLA, CLEAN UP THIS MESS!" they never broke character. I personally found the food good. Everything wasn't great but it's a buffet. When is EVERYTHING at a buffet good? And compared to other character meals, this wasn't too bad. Our bill was $80.00 before tip. As nearly everyone has stated, you're paying for the experience!

Food and buffet flow was horrible. Let's just say this- If you like a "Golden Corral" style of dining then you will like this place. If you don't, then move on. This place was noisy and very much like a circus with rude young girls at the hostess stand and obnoxious characters that scared our daughters. The semi silver lining was they did meet Cinderella & Prince Charming; However even that lacked luster as they came up to the table for a very very limited amount of "visiting" before they quickly moved onto to the next tourist. This did not even leave us a lot of time to get quality pictures with our girls. Needless to say we will probably never return to this restaurant. It was quite a disappointment and certainly not worth the ridiculously high bill we had in the end. Not your best Disney

  • Valerie K.

You do not come here for the food. If you're expecting to leave with a happy stomach, save yourself the trouble. You are paying for the characters and to have pictures taken with them. That might be worth it with younger (than 10-ish year old) children. For us that certainly was the case in that the looks on the little ones faces made it worth it. The food? Let's just say a junkfood pitstop for us adults to 7Eleven was a mandatory one.

We had a great experience at Park Fare. I dined with my two little princesses. It was a slightly rough start as we waited after we arrived for our reservations and parking is probably a good 1/2 mile from the restaurant. Then waiting. I also have an allergy and we waited 20 minutes for the chef to come out to say what was safe and not for my allergy. But, they made up for it by making me a special dish and dessert, it was nice to get an actual dessert! The girls had plenty of great kid choices but opted more so for the strawberry soup (amazing!) and ham over the corn dog bites, pizza, etc. on the kid buffet. It was great to see Cinderella, step-sisters, Lady Tremaine, and Prince Charming. The food was good for buffet. It was nice to have good gluten free options, they made me a penne with broccoli and Alfredo and sauce then a gluten free brownie shaped as Mickey over sorbet for dessert.

Me and my fiancé went to 1900 Park Fare. We were rushed during our meal. The food was good. We tried to enjoy even though we were rushed by the wait staff. I don't know if we will come back to this restaurant. The chef was great he came out and speak with me about my food allergy. He definitely made sure I was able to eat what they had since it was a buffet.

Great breakfast buffet. Good selection. Friendly staff. Lots of characters visit each table. But $80+ for 2 adults and 2 kids make it a must that you use the Disney meal plan for this one.

Food was good just normal Disney traditional characters moved fast barely got pictures lights flickering hole time felt like strobe lights was there for birthday and anniversary got cup cakes in a to go box no happy birthday bang like was told there would be not as fun as I thought but our 9yr old girl there had great time but she even felt being pushed along to eat and leave

This was a fun experience for the kids. We took the monorail from magic kingdom for dinner which was very convenient. Cinderella was ok but the stepsisters and stepmother kept everyone entertained. The dinner buffet selection was decent. I enjoyed the carved meats and some of the sides. Dessert bar was good. Overall the food quality was average and very pricey. I recommend only for the character dining.

We did the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. The experience was great! The Mad Hatter stole the show! We saw Alice, the Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Tigger and Pooh. We had a reservation 10:30 AM reservation and finally got seated by 10:50 AM. But the food and characters made up for it. I loved the strawberry soup! They had a good American style buffet. I would defiantly recommend this restaurant and I'm planning to go again next trip. Make sure you make reservations in advanced!

Staying at the Grand Floridian made this place the easiest choice to experience a character dining experience with respect to logistics. We have 3 and 5 year olds. This review is for the breakfast setting. In short, you're paying to see Winnie the Pooh (our target character), Tigger, Mary Poppins, Alice & Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland during breakfast. All these characters were available and made their rounds. They spent a respectable amount of time at our table with their undivided attention. I give a lot of credit to the speaking characters for being professional and "in character". At first I thought Mary Poppins was too stiff but I guess that's her deal. LOL. The buffet was really average. It wasn't gross as other reviewers have written but it isn't the NYC Waldorf-Astoria spread either. Some "stand out" offerings include the Strawberry Soup and Lobster Eggs Benedict. They were both ok to me. The decor is like another reviewer's description- could be in any average room in average America. This is where it is definitely disappointing considering that this restaurant's location is at the GF. Service was fine and friendly. She came around often enough to clear our tables and kept asking if we needed anything special. Overall a solid 3 stars mostly for the opportunity to meet a bunch of characters (especially Winnie the Pooh) with little effort on our parts.

Great character dining at the Grand Floridian! I ate dinner there tonight with a larger party size. We were all adults but we enjoyed (and took pictures with) the characters nonetheless! Tonight there was Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella. The Stepsisters and Stepmother were all sorts of fun! The food was better than I remembered. I had so much. Let's see: Caesar salad, sushi, a seafood boil bowl (crab legs, shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob and mussels), pot sticker, seafood salad, steak, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese from the kids section, and their famous strawberry soup. For dessert, I had rice krispie treats, chocolate chip cookies, a brownie, mini key lime pie, and mini chocolate mousse. Fun night!

Bleh. This place has majorly gone downhill! This was a favorite last year and when we returned this year, the food was just so sub-par. The pasta bar was gone, the prime rib was a joke. The "sushi" was disgusting and the best thing they served were the pre-made potstickers that tasted like they were from Costco. There was literally nothing good to eat other than the fake-y potstickers and dessert. Also, the chef has obviously changed. My daughter usually needs a chef to speak to her about allergy issues. The chef came out this time was super put-off by the fact that she had to prepare something from the kitchen and tried to get us to eat off the buffet (which risks cross-contamination). This was the most unfriendly Disney chef we've talked to in a while. Cinderella was NOT friendly (boo you Cindy) and we also had some stupid idiots try to photobomb our pictures. The place was a rowdy, loud mess. Sadly, 1900 Park Fare is now on our "skip" list.

This one is for their dinner with Cinderella & Friends and not the breakfast with Alice & Friends. I've been here before and for some reason remember the food being better. This time it was kind of a reverse experience where the food was just ok and the carved pork being overcooked yet the characters were better (or more desirable) this time. Last time Cinderella was joined by Suzy, Perla, & Mary which are three of the Mice from the original film as well as Prince Charming & the Fairy God Mother. This time the mice and the FG were replaced by the Evil Stepmother & her two daughters which proved nice as they were villainous yet still kind and funny. I also noticed that the face characters were much more attractive this time than the last time I had visited. Service wasn't bad, but I couldn't help (and I'm pretty sure some of my other family members felt the same way) but feel rushed... like the Cast Members were really interested in turning the tables to accommodate as many people as possible rather than treating each visitor as an individual. Last time they had a photo session with the FG, but this time there was no character... just a backdrop with like the Castle or something... my nieces were like "nah... forget it!" Unfortunately this expensive meal just turned out to be a FAIL for the most part. Reservations highly recommended for breakfast or dinner!

This was one of our favorite meals the last time my family visited Disney. We were escorted to take the family picture right at the start of our reservation, our tables were immediately available as soon as the picture was taken, the buffet options were quite nice, and the actors portraying the Cinderella characters were spot on! While service throughout was phenomenal, our server - who was quite lovely - did slip a bit on clearing our table in a timely manner. We experienced a little back up of dirty dishes....and...at that price tag....you really don't expect such a thing to happen. And the sushi? Seriously no bueno. I mean, what do you expect from a buffet. But they have some amazing chef's at Disney, and this sushi didn't even approach NYC bodega level. Surprising. But not a deal breaker or something which ruined the overall experience. So this is definitely a Disney dining option we'd consider for our future visits (especially since they didn't give us one issue with splitting the bill for the various families)! ps - Be warned: there are outlets throughout the dining room....but they're blocked. Boo.... ;-)

Absolutely phenomenal! Have been here twice and it's just amazing. The buffet was delicious, the service spectacular and the characters going around is a plus. I wouldn't expect anything less from Disney.

Great spread of foods that really gives a good amount of choice from soups, pizza, salads, carved beef and a lot more. The characters take a while to get around to the tables, but are fairly charming once you do meet them.

Went here for dinner. This place is for young girls and their parents only. Characters were not geared to boys or older kids (beyond 6/7). Food was horrible and relative price was high. Maybe breakfast is better, but dinner sucked!

We had been to character meals before and thought they were only ok. We had a free night and we were lucky enough to get a reservation for dinner at 1900 Park Fare on very short notice. We were seated quickly (within 5 minutes of reservation time) and our waiter was attentive with drink orders and refills. It turned out well for us as Prince Charming was first, followed by Cinderella, the step sisters and then step-mother. Based on their path, we were the 8th table in their rotation. This is important as per some of the other reviews, if you have bad luck on your arrival time you could be at a bad spot in the order and wait a long time for a character. The food was above average and much better than the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom. Overall, very well done!

We showed up late for dinner. Total accident, but since that happened, we were pressed for time. Seems like every 5 minutes you have to get up for pictures due to sooo many characters. Prince Charming is really super charming! My husband bumped into him and asked Prince Charming where the nearest bathroom is. The Prince pointed to the exit and said, "There is a lake outside, sir." Mashed potatoes were the best potatoes I ever tasted in my life. However, the rest of the food was just so-so. Still was fun and I'm glad I went. Be prepared people! They take a fabulous photo of your group when you arrive. We bought a photo package before our Disney trip so this picture was included for free in the package. Most of the people in our group wore costumes that day so the beautiful picture only makes sense if I set it on my dresser during Halloween time.

I went here for breakfast and can honestly say the food disappointed me. The characters are obviously the main point of this restaurant, however I did like the eggs Benedict they have.

I personally find character dining over rated. The food is usually sub-par, the characters are coming over to the table seem less than pleased to be doing so, and the seating is less than stellar. 1900 Park Fare lived up to my expectations. Went here for a Cinderella dinner with family. Food is buffet style and they tried to have a broad variety, with a little something for everyone. Best thing were the Tater Tots on the kids line. Our seating was horribly tight, with 5 adults wedged on one side of the table and an adult and 3 kids on the other side. Our request to place one of the adults on the end was met with an apologetic no, so we did our best. The characters did come by but trying to get them to visit one of the kids, who uses a wheelchair, without a long explanation explaining why she couldn't just "stand up" was annoying. The best character there was Anastasia. She had Small Fry and her cousin in stitches, and waited patiently as my mother's 500 year old camera tried to take multiple pictures. The family picture taken prior to our dinner came out great, however it is pricey... But, this was one of the few times we've been all together, so of course we bought in. It was a nice package, with 5 smaller 5x7 photos, and 1 8x10. You are provided with a code to go online, and you can order more. Honestly? Skip the character dining. Stand in line at one of the character meet & greets, and then have dinner. A much better experience all around.

I'm glad that I experienced dinner here, but it wasn't the greatest meal that I've ever had, and I walked away feeling hungry (if you can believe that). I got up to get my food and Prince Charming had already come to the table and I totally missed seeing him. Bummer. And, he didn't come back by (as I was told he would). The atmosphere was fun and lively, and my son really enjoyed seeing Cinderella and the wicked step-sisters and mother... and they were all awesome in character. I wish they would have squatted down to my son's level (he was in a high-chair), but we still got a few good pictures. I think if someone were to ask me to do this dinner again, I'd have to pass. Chef Mickey's is most definitely a better dinner expereince. I would like to try 1900 Park Fare for breakfast with Pooh and friends though!

We were able to get a last minute reservation for the character breakfast (at 10 pm the night before). Make sure your party is together when you check in (hubby was parking the car), then pose for your group picture. If you have the Photo Pass Plus they will bring prints to your table in a nice folder with the recipe for Strawberry Soup. Great selection of food and even a kids sized buffet. 5 characters visited our table - pooh, tiger, Mary Poppins, Alice, and the Mad Hatter. Had a great time and was able to use a table service meal credit!

We attended the Supercalifragilistic breakfast which was phenomenal. Not only did my son absolutely love meeting the characters (who were by far the best character meet ups in all of Disney - each one of them made us all feel special and were fully in character), but he loved the food as well. The restaurant was very, very clean. The selection of breakfast foods was fantastic. I especially enjoyed the strawberry soup and the strawberry crepes (yes, I love strawberries). We also liked the Mickey waffles, quiche, and normal breakfast fare. It was all very good, and far more than we could ever sample in one sitting. This will be on our next Disney dining list for sure!

What are you aiming for? If you're aiming for the overall experience, I suppose it's a 4 out of 5. If you're going with children who are interested in meeting characters, this is a great place to enjoy a dinner buffet, take pictures, and say that you ate at the Grand Floridian. If you're aiming for good food at a reasonable price, you're not going to find it here. They tried to provide a variety of foods, but they sort of dropped the ball. You sort of have to have an open mind to trying new foods. The night I went, they had a chicken gumbo. After tasting it, I immediately grabbed a bowl of boiled shrimp and a bowl of the gumbo broth (with rice). I peeled the shrimp and added them to the gumbo. That tasted a lot better than their original gumbo. The salmon was ok. There were a few other items that were ok, but nothing that jumps out as noteworthy. The dessert area tried to look upscale and gourmet. I wasn't too impressed. Everything was bite-sized. I are what I could in order to get through the dinner. Our waitress was great. Then again, it's Disney. Who provides bad service at Disney? Finally, the bill comes. Again, not worth it. Basically, you're paying to eat at the Grand Floridian. The characters come out, make a huge deal to make your kids smile, and they send you on your way. THE PLUS SIDE: You can watch the fireworks or relax on the beach after dinner. My advice, if the experience is important, check it out and decide for yourself. If you're looking for quality food at a reasonable price (yes, I know it's Disney and I was on vacation, but still...) I recommend going some place else. Even with a Disney Dining Plan, I wouldn't do this again.

We went back and got to use the photo pass so we got a free picture. However they don't keep the reservation time as well and it was 20 minutes later. I think the waitress leaves much more to be desired. We also didn't get to order anymore drinks. The food was okay but it isn't that great. I love all the characters but I think they did better last time I was there with the character and their personality. However I loved Alice and she was super good with my son

This is obviously a place that is meant to keep up the magic for your kids. But my husband and I (ages 31 and 29) were so thrilled by the character breakfast, and we don't have children yet! The food was a huge variety in a delicious buffet, with very attentive staff throughout the restaurant. I also loved that there is a shorter buffet for the kids - so cute! Each of the characters (Alice, Mad Hatter, Tigger, Pooh, and Mary Poppins) make a point to visit your table once, and we had a great time with each of them. It's pricey but we definitely thought it would be worth it to bring our friends with small children when they're in town. Such a treat.

Fun and relaxing character dinner. Kids and adults can choose anything from the buffet which included things like: salmon, shrimp, chicken Marsala, roast beef, Moroccan chicken and couscous, several salads, sushi, Asian dumplings and ribs, 2 soups and many, varied tiny desserts to sample. Come early and enjoy the last bit of sunshine of the day at this beautiful resort.

We visited this morning for breakfast. It was loud inside, very crowded and the food was just...ok. Our daughter enjoyed meeting Mary Poppins but the other characters were very brief --understandable because they have lots of people to meet--but given that we paid (in part) to see them, it took a very long time for them to make their rounds. We had long finished our meal before we got to see most of them. (I should mention that we were seated 30 minutes after our scheduled reservation time. Why is this process not better organized, especially when there are tons of little kids?!) The character meet and greets in the park were MUCH better and worth the wait in line, in our opinion. I find it astounding that this restaurant doesn't take more pride in offering higher quality food. No freshly baked breads or pastries--the pastries tasted like they had been bought from a grocery store. They had a very limited variety of fruit. Only one omelette station (with a long line). The buffet line presentation was institutional, and it didn't seem like anyone was going around to clean up messes, straighten serving utensils, or keep an eye out to quickly replenish empty serving plates--things I would expect at luxury hotel restaurant. I would compare this buffet breakfast to what I've had at an Embassy Suites. (That's not knocking Embassy Suites -- it's just that their buffet is free to guests.) 1900 Park Fare has prices expected with a nice hotel. I think the situation could be improved greatly by: -improving their food -limiting the number of guests seated at one time -offering better coffee (seriously, to me it was like bad diner coffee) -and while I am making a list, why not go organic! On a positive note, the server was very pleasant, and the photo at the entrance is a nice touch. The resort itself is lovely. This restaurant does not match the excellence of the resort.

We were here a few weeks ago for breakfast. The food was really good. Get a mickey waffle with some of that banana topping & you will be set. Our waitress was super busy but she never brushed us off. She even brought me a cupcake for my birthday! The only complaint I have is that the character situation seemed a bit disorganized. To the point of a family stalking Winnie the Pooh because they missed him or something. Then Mary Poppins skipped our table & didn't come back. It was a bottleneck of characters. They weren't spaced out around the restaurant doing their rounds, they had somehow all gotten caught up in a big group. It was just odd because I've seen it done well in other restaurants.

One of the few places to eat with Disney Characters! And also located in the beautiful and majestic Grand Floridian Resort. We got ourselves signed up for the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast. So we got to take pictures with Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland, Pooh, Tigger and Mary Poppins. =) Quite fun! Alice asked me if I talked to my flower necklace and I said that I do. And she wondered if I had trained them to sing ... which I hadn't yet! =) Anyway, you can see... quite fun. =) This is a breakfast buffet comparable to Bellagio or the Wynn in Vegas. Mickey Waffles, made to order omelets, toasts, bagels, fruits, meats, cereals, oatmeal, grits, juices, ice cream...lots of stuff. I'm sure you get my gist. For about $25/person - it's a pretty sweet deal. Your drink is already included as well. You should reserve in advance though, this place fills up. Tim reserved our spot about a month in advance. =) Bon Appetit!

We ate here as a celebration to the 2 week countdown of our upcoming little girl who will be here shortly and the return of my bestie who is now back from Ohio. We had dinner here and I can say the food was amazing and there is quite a great big selection from durbon chicken which seems to be popular, I personally had seconds on the chicken marsala with the roasted mashed potatoes which was amazing, they have kids corners on both dessert and dinner so there are dishes a kid who is a very picky eater would like, and their area is even at their own level so they don't have to stand on their tip toes. There is sushi which my husband was in love with, a carving station, pasta, fresh meats, shellfish, vegetables, and a vary of a lot of food. The desserts are mini desserts of cannolis, brownies, key lime pie tarts (i loved), cheesecakes, rice krispies, cookies, and anything else a little kid could dream of. This place is also known for the character dining experience both for dinner and breakfast. At breakfast you can see pooh characters, Mary Poppins, Alice and her cast, at dinner we saw the step sisters and step mother of Cinderella along with her prince. I have to say the most amusing part of the characters at dinner is the Step Sisters they are highly amusing and very sweet for being so evil =), We were very unimpressed with Cinderella and her Prince though they had no enthusiasm or even character and seemed like they did not really enjoy their job which is why i gave this location three stars because when you come here you really are paying if anything for the experience with the characters more so than the food for the price. We saw Cinderella pass up a little girl and didn't even go back to her table which made her cry, luckily her mother is a type like I am and went and grabbed her and brought her back because the little girl was so eagerly waiting to get her autograph and picture. We were disappointed with Cinderella and Charming, but like I said the evil women of course were the best bunch in the group!

Definitely a breakfast must if traveling with your own little princess. Our princess was picked to "open" the restaurant, and was seated by none other than Mary Poppins! Pretty cool, and a nice surprise. Throughout breakfast, we were greeted by Ms. Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Alice, and the Mad Hatter. Every character was great, especially the Mad Hatter. Great job! The food was above average, and had plenty to choose from. Not the biggest brunch we've ever had, but it satisfied the morning hunger. Eggs Benedict stuck out, as well as their cheesy quiche and potato dishes. Service was average, maybe a bit overwhelmed. The seats fill in quick, so the earlier the better. We will definitely be back, good times.

My favorite place in Disney. I go every time I visit and will continue to. I wish it wasn't as expensive only because there's no way you can eat enough food to get your money's worth. The food is delicious though. I also love the characters. Especially the ones that come at dinner. My first time there for dinner in 2009 inspired me to come back in 2010 and then come to work for the Disney College Program in 2012. Love this place.

On our recent trip to Disney, I decided to add character dining to get a little bit more from our Disney vacation experience. I picked the 1900 Park fare breakfast mainly for myself since I love Mary Poppins but my kids were just as excited to meet Alice and the Mad Hatter. The best part is that we got to visit with the characters and not stand in line waiting to meet them. The food was decent. If I had to pay out of pocket for the meal, I would have been happy but my husband, not so much (he is a picky-eater). For breakfast, the buffet had just about anything you could think of eating. The cheesy hash browns were wonderful and I love the Mickey shaped waffles!! They have omelets made to order and a vast variety of pastries, bagels, fruit and other dishes. The best part was the juice, which was said to be the house specialty by our waiter. It was so good, I think I have 6 glasses!! LOL A plus of the package was the family pictures we received when we first arrived. They are a great keepsake for an very enjoyable morning. The biggest reason why I don't give the dining experience 5 stars was because of the dining room layout. It seemed like they tried to cram as many people into the room as possible which made for difficult navigating, especially for Pooh. I get that the character dining is in high-demand but the room was really cramped. Despite that, the organized chaos was quite enjoyable!!

We ate here on 05/14 for dinner at 5:15pm. 1900 Park Fare turned out to be a pleasant surprise for character dining. Our server Rachel was probably the best out of any that we had during our week at Disney. She had drinks refilled constantly for adults and children alike. She very thoroughly explained the buffet in terms of what was there and what was worth eating and what was worth skipping over. The buffet at dinner truly has a great mix of different things. While you will not like all of it there is enough diversity that you will get your fill as long as you take the time to explore it all. The Stepmother and Stepsisters are definitely the stars of the show as they actually interact with people and have personality. Cinderella and the Prince Charming are nice but they are both about as wooden and rigid as Pinocchio and are both far more in a hurry with people which makes there visits extremely short. The only bad part of the deal is the picture they force you to take before the meal and then try to push and guilt you into buying while you are eating. 1900 is not the best of Disney's character dining but it is worth trying.

Ate here for breakfast December 2011. Were seated in a room just off the main dining room. The food was the best of the breakfast buffets we experienced at Disney World. Some unique choices and everything was above average. The characters were great. Very friendly and spent more time at our table than your average "pic and run." Some even came back by to talk to my kids a second time - and we weren't sitting around waiting on them to do so. For 1 table service credit, it's a great value. We would definitely go back.

My friends and I made reservations here for the character dinner, featuring Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the stepmother and stepsisters. The place itself is quaint (after all, it's in the Grand Floridian), and it was great meeting and taking pictures with all of the characters (especially the stepsisters... they were hilarious). The food itself is forgettable. It's just not worth the $39 each we paid, especially when you consider there wasn't a huge selection. The dessert section was the best part - lots of mini tarts to choose from, cookies, rice krispie treats and bread pudding. The chocolate chip cookie was pretty good, but the rice krispie treats were stale. The one thing I really enjoyed was the bread pudding - it was so good I went back for seconds. It had a delicious vanilla sauce to pour on top of it, and it redeemed the rest of my meal. Without that, I would've left here a bit hungry. I will say the waitress we had was very friendly and quick to refill our drinks. Glad I got to have a fun night out with my friends and take pictures with the characters, but I wouldn't come back here.

I would rate 1900 Park fare 4 stars for the character dining experience and 3 stars for the actual food experience. They had a small assortment of salads and they had some make your own pasta as well as a carving station which featured roasted turkey ham and beef. They had a few different choices for side dishes some of which were rice and vegetables. As for the children's menu they offered the basics which were mac and cheese Pizza corn and sweet potato fries. They do not offer any ice cream for dessert. They have a variety of tarts and they also offer rice krispie treats gummy bears and brownies. Overall our dining experience here was truly enjoyable.

Great food and fun character interaction. This was my first and only character breakfast during this Disney trip. If (more like when) we go to Disney again I would want to check out a different one so we get different characters but the food options here were great and it was good. I mean come on, eggs benedict with lobster sauce, yum!

My family and I came here for dinner while on vacation. It was very nice to explore the Grand Floridian before dinner, I would definitely love to stay here. This buffet featured characters from Cinderella, which is great for children, but we felt a bit immature amongst the dining crowd here. The food was good, nothing out of this world - my mom loved the turnips (random). I'd return, but it's a bit expensive for what it is.

Had a terrible breakfast experience here. We had a reservation time that was held with a credit card, but we were seated over 40 minutes late with no apologies. If we hadn't harassed the hostess stand so much, it could have been even longer. Inside, the dining room was hot and overcrowded and we had to stand there while our table was cleaned from the previous diners. Not all the characters made it to our table during our meal, which was very disappointing for the kids. A very exhausting way to begin a day at Disney World.

Wow! Our little family's 1st character meal. Located in the Grand Floridian, Husband had the foresight to plan and reserve our spot here (Belle's "Be Our Guest Character Dinner" was already solidly booked months in advance); after receiving our pager, we took a family picture in front of the wall mural depicting Cinderella's castle (it turned out quite nicely, I must say!) Despite a 2000/8:00pm reservation, we waited a good 30min in the grand vestibule, listening to the live band playing on the floor above us, taking pictures and soaking in the ambiance. This is how the 1% vacay! Once we were seated -- and it was still crowded! -- our server took our drink order, and off to the buffet line we went. Quality wise, a definite step above Home Town (HTB) Buffet -- neat, food at ideal serving temperatures, and a nice variety of foods not found @ HTB. Think HTB, but high end -- a minor issue is the roast carver sliced the prime rib thickly -- 1", not 1/4" - 1/2". Rolls, butter, veggies, entrees, salmon, all wonderful, and much to our liking. Other reviewers found issues from cockroaches to bland, over cooked fare. Perhaps Disney caught wind, because when we dined, everything was just wonderful. Have your cameras/camcorders charged and at the ready. Lady Tremaine (Stepmother), Cinderella, Prince Charming, Anastasia, Drizella all made an appearance, and stayed to interact with the guests. Each one worked the room and individual tables, and graciously took multiple pictures with all parties; this beats waiting in the blazing heat with tired, whiny kids and pushy parents outside! Cinderella & Prince Charming waltzed in the center of the room, as well as w/the youngest guests present -- it was all worth it! The photo ops were orderly, leisurely, they actually conversed with us, made eye contact, the whole Disney hospitality you expect, pay for and receive! I can only speak for our experience: we thoroughly enjoyed the meal, as well as the Characters! Afterwards, we received souvenir placemats and complimentary cupcakes to go. If you're visiting Disneyworld, I strongly recommend you use Disney's Dining Plan (DDP). For our vacation, some of our meals were $130 - $170 (just one meal, party of 4, with the DDP).

Horrible cramped dining area - they seated us in the middle of the room where everyone was bumping into my kids. Rude staff and gross buffet food! However, this is very typical for Disney character breakfast places - you really just go for the kids to see the characters. I think it's so funny when I see grown adults dining there with no kids and fighting to take pictures with the Tigger or whoever! This place is very chaotic and small, I would recommend Ohana instead.

The food was mediocre at best. This is really a place that you only want to come to IF YOU HAVE KIDS. The staff and characters were very pleasant but the food was EXTREMELY disappointing. For the price, i was expecting a lot more on that front. But nonetheless it was an experience and we'll chalk it up to that..

This place is a staple for my family and I when they are in town. We've never been there for their breakfast, but we've been multiple times for their dinner. The first time I went I was apprehensive because I HATE character dining. The characters actually make me feel uncomfortable and annoy the crap out of me the way they always come to the table with the expectation that you are going to jump up and hug them every single time. For whatever reason though these characters seem to not be so obnoxious. For as long as we've been going the dinner has been Cinderella, what I think is super cool though is the fact that the wicked stepsisters and stepmother are there. You don't get to see them too much out and about. They also do like a "ball" every so often. It makes you feel like you are actually watching royalty. Cinderella and Prince Charming get up and waltz around, then after their "first dance" anyone can go up and dance with them. If you're into that kind of stuff then it's really awesome and interactive. The food is also pretty darn legit. I've been to many of the buffets on Disney property and this is honestly one of the best. I don't know what it is considering most of the buffets are fairly similar. I know this may seem silly but one thing that really sticks out in my head is their tomato mozzarella salad, it is absolutely yummmy. I have a vision in my head of the rest of the items on the bar and on the "meat carving" station, but I'm not very good at naming different types of meat. I don't want to sit here and tell you their prime rib was delicious when actually it was roast beef. But just know that everything I have ever had here was amazing. On our last visit our server was absolutely amazing! The things he did to make our experience enjoyable were outstanding. We were 9 adults and one toddler, he just made us all feel comfortable in an environment that is meant for kids. You are looking at about $30 a plate here, but it's worth it. You get to eat in the Floridian, have fun, eat until your sick, and feel like a kid again all at the same time. If you're looking for a character dining experience I definitely recommend going to 1900 Park Fare.

So pretty much what Phil said. Yes they were some folks in bathing suits and cover ups. I have been here a couple time and maybe the food is hit or miss? This time wasn't terrible bad, I spent my time shoveling cheese hash browns into my mouth. Last time they had Mickey shaped pancakes that were AWESOME. My girls loved the characters! Each spends time at the table. It is truly organized chaos.

Fun Disney character meal. It has the wicked stepsisters, who really ham it up. Cinderella's stepmom is hilarious, although little kids may not get her controlling humor. Try the strawberry soup!

First off, it has to be noted that the best thing ANYONE can do when visiting Disney, and staying at a Disney property, is to have a Disney Dining plan attached to their stay. Having this removes the complication of having to pay for each meal and the "surprise" at the end of the meal for how much everything costs. This holds true for character breakfasts (as you get here), as well as other meals. Anyhow, with that said, the character breakfast here is a wonderful experience. You get to meet some great characters including Mary Poppins, Alice from Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, as well as Tigger and a few other costumed characters as well . . . and that is where our problem (not Disney's), unfortunately existed. Our 5 year old daughter is absolutely petrified of the costumed characters (if she can't see their faces, she isn't interested) -- we were forced to feed her while she was hiding under our table every time one or more of them would come anywhere close to the table. The only saving grace was that when Alice came by, and we told her that our daughter was scared and under the table, Alice went "down the rabbit hole" and met with her (and my son who joined them), and Alice had a nice long conversation and made my girl happy. She even crawled out to have her picture taken with Alice. Kudos to the Disney cast, especially when they go to such great lengths to make a kid happy. As for the food, I love good breakfast buffets and this place was no exception. They have everything you could want, and some special items that compliment the setting of the "1900" theme. Since we were there last year, I don't recall everything they had on the buffet, but I do recall that the special items were very good and I have no doubt that the food here is still wonderful.

What a rip off. Don't waste your time! We waited over an hour to have one character come by. Not "the happiest place on earth."

Cinderella characters dinning experience. It is buffet style and food is average. The only time I met Prince Charming.

I only give this 2 stars because my daughter absolutely loved meeting the characters and they spent time with her. For her the experience was magical. With that in mind, Disney should consider making this a type of show - I wouldn't mind paying for the ability for kids to get to see the characters without a 1 hour line and getting up close only to have them walk away for a break. That said, you don't come here for the food. It's horrible at best and certainly NOT worth $10 per person let alone the $50 per person when all is said and done. We had better food in my college cafeteria. Service is ok since you wait for everything.

I gotta say that the food was actually really good. We had dinner here the day we arrived. Yeah it's a little expensive but you pay for the experience with the Disney characters. Cinderella's mean step sister was the best. She really played a good part. Cinderella was very good but the girls knew the prince was a fake. He didn't look anything like the movie they told me. My wife and I gave the same explanation that we have used for Santa. The prince is very important and busy so he uses helpers. Also, while we were waiting for our table I grabbed a couple of drinks from the 2nd floor bar in the main foyer area. Cool bar.

This character dinner is in the Grand Floridian Hotel. It's expensive, at $35 for an adult and $17 per child. Throughout the dinner, at 15 minute intervals five different Cinderella characters appear and walk from table to table, greeting the kids and spending a few minutes talking to them. The characters are: The evil stepmother (Lady Tremaine), the two step sisters (Anastasia and Drusilla), the Prince, and finally Cinderella. Depending on when you actually sit down for dinner, you may have to wait 45 minutes or more to meet every one of the characters. The characters are done very well. They stay in character and act appropriately. Each character is announced with a fanfare and a little music, and they all start at the same end of the room and move towards the back. Therefore, if you are seated at the back of the room (ie near the entrance to the dining area), you'll be waiting the longest to see each character. Halfway through each character's journey, they break towards the center of the room for a small event. The Prince will dance with the little girls, the step sisters will do a bippity-boppity-boo dance with all the kids, and the Prince and Cinderella will dance with themselves and encourage other people to dance as well. It's kind of chaotic and there's not much room for these events to take place, so once you hear it being started, grab your kid and head to the middle of the dining area. The events are only a few minutes long so if your little girl wants to dance with the Prince you have to be quick. Also note that when the events start, the characters will leave the tables and may not come back to where they left off. Our daughter was kind of short shifted with Cinderella because we had time for one picture before her event started and she left our table. The food was very overpriced for what it was, but remember, you're not paying for the food, you're paying for the characters. The kids menu was pretty slim for $17 - you had pizza, some mac and cheese, maybe a couple of other items. I kept thinking that maybe there was another section for the kids at the buffet because the existing area was so small. Adult food was a bit better, a little more creative but underseasoned as a whole. There was a roast beef station, risotto, coq a vin, pasta, and some other dishes. Again, not exactly $35 worth, but I expected a lot worse. They made an effort to bring more adult dishes to the buffet instead of the usual fried chicken and pizza. They have a full bar but the drinks are all $8 and up. Contrary to anything you may have read, there is nothing formal about this character dinner. The dining area is all jeans, shorts, and t-shirts, with various round tables that reminded me of the seating at any chain family restaurant. It's loud, well lit, with kids and adults everywhere, going to and from the buffet and interacting with the characters. I expected a bit more of a subdued atmosphere considering the price. While we did not experience this, apparently if you are NOT a guest of a Disney hotel, you are subject to what's known as an "Active Reservation". This basically means that any reservation you thought you made is subject to change depending on the crowd. If it's a busy night and the place is filled with guests that are staying at a Disney hotel, your 5:30PM "Active Reservation" could get you bumped to 7PM or later.

Let me start by saying I am reviewing this restaurant by Disney standards. I am from Chicago, a place well know for the finest cuisine, and a place where you can get any kind of food imaginable at the best quality so nothing at Disneyworld compares even the finest restaurants and Epcot. This was a great restaurant to get your picture taken with characters. We went for dinner which is buffet style. While I am not a fan of buffets, this buffet was pretty good. It was extremely crowded. Also, the table smelled when we sat down. I think they wiped it down with plain water rather than some kind of cleaning solution. That was a bit of a disappointment. Our waitress was very nice but, was given way too many tables (management problem). It was the best place we visited for characters but, could have been cleaner and service was not good because of overcrowding, not the fault of the server.

Buffet Style meals, the character actors are fantastic (and don't break character), but the food can be hit or miss. If you are unlucky you will be stuck near the rear entrance and miss the atmosphere.

LOVE THIS PLACE! It's the epitome of what it means to feel the Disney Magic. From the staff that makes every effort to please the customer to the characters that make the kids feel excited to the wonderful buffet breakfast, we always make it a point to eat here before returning home. By the way, the Micky Waffles are a MUST!

My best meal experiences at Walt Disney World occurred at the popular 1900 Park Fare. This is one of the few restaurants on Disney property that had a character breakfast. The character breakfast featured Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Alice from Alice in Wonderland, and the Mad Hatter. All the characters came around to each table and spent individual time with us to pose for pictures and conversate. This meal here was also pretty good. The breakfast was a buffet that featured a carving station, Mickey Mouse Waffles, pancakes, eggs, fresh fruits, breakfast pastries and breads, lobster eggs benedict, smoked salmon potatoes and more. It was honestly one of the better breakfast meals that I enjoyed at Walt Disney World. This restaurant also featured a dinner buffet called 1900 Park Fare Cinderella Happily Ever After Dinner. Now let me tell you, this restaurant is one of the those places that you have to make a reservation months in advance just to get a table, but lucky me, I was able to go to the extremely helpful concierge desk and make reservations for the next night. I truly was SO lucky. This character dinner was one of the best dinners I've ever experience at Walt Disney World. Not because of the food which was quite mediocre at best, but primarily for the character interaction. First of all, I got to meet and take pictures with Cinderella and other guest posed with Prince Charming. But second of all, I got to have long and interesting conversations with the Evil Step Mother and the Step Sisters. Let me tell you, these characters were something else. They were loud, obnoxious, funny, and so similar to characters in the movies. The Evil Step Mother came to our table and started telling me how wonderful her daughters were and that I should choose on of them to marry. She then grabbed me and escorted me across the dining hall to show me her available daughter. Then each sister came to the table to pose for picturing while also interrogating me to see if I was "husband material." They then capped off the conversation with "Mother, I found my husband!" This was a very funny experience that I had so much fun with and I believe this kind of thing happens to all "available" men at the table. So ladies, watch out! Overall, this was a great restaurant filled many characters and fun, unique interactions throughout out. Highly recommended.

I've been here twice now and I have not been disappointed either time. This restaurant is located in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and the resort itself is a beauty. 1900 Park Fare is open for breakfast and dinner with character dining at both. I've only been for breakfast, but would love to try dinner there sometime soon. The room is bright and though windowless, doesn't feel claustrophobic. There is a turn of the century circus theme throughout, complete with carousel horses, pink and white striped walls and even a calliope, which I was prepared to be annoyed by, but hardly noticed. The stars of breakfast at 1900 Park Fare are Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Alice (of Wonderland fame) and the Mad Hatter. All the characters are fun, but be forewarned, Mary is crisp and has no time for chit chat and the Mad Hatter can be downright rude, but in a playful way. The food is phenomenal at breakfast with an all you can eat buffet for around $19. There is a make-your-own omelet station, your usual bacon and sausage, some delicious strawberry soup, pancakes, every kind of egg you could imagine, breads, rolls, baked goods, fruit, sugary toppings peach and white bread pudding with vanilla sauce, and of course, Mickey waffles. Our waitress was unobtrusive and pleasant, allowing us to stay as long as we'd like. The reasons I give this restaurant 4 stars instead of five are minor. Firstly, it is a Disney character breakfast, so it was loud and crawling with children. Secondly, being a table of adults, we felt that a few of the characters didn't stay with us as long as others, choosing to spend more time at tables with children. My thought is that we payed just as much as the children, and deserve the time spent with characters. I've never found this to be a problem at other character meals Anyways, it was a great experience and spending time roaming around the Grand Floridian was an added bonus.

I am so happy my boyfriend chose this restaurant. He knows I'm a big Disney fan and thought it would be nice if we could do some character dining. First of all, this restaurant is located inside the Disney Grand Floridian Hotel which is one of the most fabulous hotels on the Disney property. Having to dine here allowed us the opportunity to see and explore this lovely hotel. When we walked in, I felt a little awkward and out of place. As expected, there were little girls everywhere dressed up in their Cinderella costumes. I felt like a big kid but the hostess did a great job making me feel a bit more at ease telling me she still gets giddy when she sees Cinderella. Anyway, 1900 Park Fare is a buffet. They have quite a variety of food. They have their normal salad bar and they have cuisines from all over. From what I can remember, my favorites of the night were their prime rib, coq au' vine, tomato bisque soup, and pork chops. I wasn't expecting too much when I got here but everything I ate was fresh and well prepared. None of the meats were dry. I truly enjoyed my experience here. The cherry on top was being able to take pictures with each of the Cinderella characters: Prince Charming, Cinderella, Lady Tremaine, Anastascia, and Drisella as they came around your table. They were all very much in character and it just made me smile. The buffet itself is a little overpriced but you're really paying for your experience. I would definitely come back...especially in the future if I had a little girl. :) Be advised though - you have to make reservations in advance. And make them pretty far in advance if you want a reasonable time.

My wife and I wanted to have at least one character dining experience and we wanted to see the Grand Floridian too so we thought this was a good choice. It was an interesting set up, there was little in terms of decor outside or signage, basically a few doors and windows covered by curtains. Then they opened the doors and it was craziness inside, lots of noise, lots of little girls in princess dresses, a very festive type of enviroment. Anyone's little princess would love that kind of scene, good luck getting them to eat though. Being that we didn't have kids we felt a bit out of place but the characters (Cinderella, Prince, Lady Tremaine and stepsisters) are basically on a schedule so they end up visiting all the tables one by one which is nice. Everyone gets a change to visit with them and take pictures. They were quite pleasant and humerous even to us, 2 adults without kids. One of the stepsisters asked my wife if I was a rich prince or if i had a rich brother, I was seriously laughing out loud. My favorite was Lady Tremaine - a lot of tongue in cheek sarcasm, totally in character. She muttered under her breath to a little girl in a Cinderella dress, "That dress looks much better on you," it was great. Decor inside was fairly plain, not the elaborate theming you see at other WDW restaurants, it was like a 1900's circus theme. No windows. But it's all about the characters, right? The food was not the best I've had - middle of the road. Don't expect food like Ohana or even other buffets at WDW, the priority here is more about the characters. The selection was smallish but the food was decent, prime rib was the main attraction. Had a kids buffet like at many other WDW buffets. I was disappointed at the lack of selection, it was not a huge buffet. Enough variety but not even close to somewhere like Tusker House at Animal Kingdom. One nice thing was the Dreyer's soft serve. I would do it again if we had little girls but otherwise probably not. And be sure to get reservations well in advance. Otherwise they'll give you a time like 9:15pm.
